attorney chris stokes

Before joining Rafi, Brown, and Stokes – Injury Lawyers, Chris Stokes worked for a well-respected insurance defense firm in the Metro Atlanta Area. He defended businesses and insurance companies in a wide array of personal injury cases, including automobile crashes, cases involving dangerous and unsafe property, and insurance coverage cases. But after witnessing how insurance companies treated injured people, Chris rededicated his career to instead help the injured.

He specializes in wrongful death cases and catastrophic injury cases caused by a tractor-trailer and automobile crashes. Chris also represents crime victims in negligent security cases, where property owners and managers failed to keep residents and guests safe. He uses what he learned about how insurance companies evaluate claims to help injury victims and their families get the compensation they deserve.

Chris earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Auburn University and his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. During law school, he represented Plaintiffs in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and people seeking asylum in front of the Board of Immigration Appeals as part of UGA Law’s nationally-recognized Appellate Advocacy Clinic. Chris was also an active member of the mock trial and moot court teams. Because of that work, he was awarded membership into the National Order of Barristers—an honor reserved for the top ten trial advocacy students at the University of Georgia. Since graduating from law school, Chris has continued his involvement with the mock trial program by serving as a guest judge and coach.
