On August 17, 2017, a woman experienced what many people fear. She sustained a flat tire while traveling on I-75 North and pulled to the side of the road to repair it. Sadly, the woman was struck by another vehicle while trying to repair her own, and the woman passed away as a result of the accident.
According to reports, a woman was driving a pickup truck on the highway when her tire went flat. The woman pulled to the side of the road and exited her vehicle. She, along with three other people, were attempting to change the tire on the pickup when a Cadillac hit the pickup truck.
The Cadillac’s driver struck the pickup and the people who were outside it trying to change the tire. The driver of the truck was killed and three people were taken to Atlanta Medical Center. The injuries sustained by the three people were not reported. The driver of the car and the passenger were not injured in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation. It was not immediately clear why or how the Cadillac struck the pickup truck and the people. It was known that the driver of the car is in his early 20s and the passenger was an elderly man.
